Tea Harvesting Season in Iran Was Over
Harvesting green tea leaves from Gilan and Mazandaran fields ended on 26 Oct. 2009. This year more than 170,000 tons of green leaves were harvested from 32 acres of fields and were purchased in grade 1 and 2 by 200 tea factories with the average value of 1.5 to 2 dollars. This has led to job creation in the region and provided a high turnover for rural areas.

Tea and coffee fair is going to be held in Tehran's Laleh Hotel from 15 to 17 November. This is the seventh annual fair in which tea and coffee producers and business-people are summoned.

It has been a centre for tea and coffee producers from all over the world to exchange experience and latest achievements. This fair has been welcomed by the participants and enjoyed a remarkable popularity.
